Meeting Elizabeth for the first design meeting, she explained to me her aesthetic of light, clean, natural fabrics to make each space more livable and enjoyable. She then asked me what my taste was and what ideas I had for my living room/dining room area. I have an open space, walk through room, so making it all flow was important to me. I told her that I wasn't sure about what kind of design I wanted and tried to explain the different looks that I like. I was pulling many pictures from different magazine that I liked, but I felt that I was all over the place and I was sure she didn't really know what I wanted. One week later, Elizabeth showed up to my house with four photos and a floor plan. She believed that my taste was a blend of 4 different types of design: modern, rustic, classic, clean. She nailed it! Her floor plan included an area rug that was cut out around my fireplace and an L shape couch that warmed up the entire room. She explained that we would also use wallpaper in different parts of the room and use light window treatments hanging all the way to the top of the ceiling to make the room look lighter and larger. A sitting bench was added under the windows by the front door to add a welcoming, relaxed vibe, while allowing the natural light to shine into the room. Only a few chairs were added to the living space that were easily movable to different areas of the room based on the amount of people sitting in the house. I loved it!
I hired Elizabeth to redecorate my old Deal ranch that just didn't feel uplifting and inspiring. Elizabeth heard my vision and took her classy, yet edgy style and adapted it to the vibe I wanted to create in my summer home. She transformed the space into a tranquil , casual, yet luxurious style that only a professional like her knows how to create. She was easy to work with, fun, responsible, and a pro through and through. I would definitely hire her again.
